Car Alarms: 98 Eclipes factory alarm, eclipes, trunk light

my alarm go's off when it wants to, the last thing i did before it started doing that was opened and close the hatch. So could it be the wire back on the hatch?

Answer
The alarm seems to be "reading" an open circuit.
The back hatch may be open or showing current on that
wire when you arm the alarm.

Best suggestion is to go around opening and closing all
3 entry ways, and also checking for ANY circuit showing 12 volts
like trunk light on, dome etc... Arming and checking
for a trigger as you go. My bet is you will discover something
that was on and forgotten that simply needed atending to.
