Car Alarms: Chirp in Remotes, resident technicians, chirp

Question
 There's no "chirp" from my Corolla 2006's keyless remote (GQ43VT14T). The
lock/unlock function works alright, though there are misses (unknowingly) because
of the lack of this audible information. I bought my car used, from a dealership,
but I ain't satisfied with their explanation when I raised this question. Is this a
malfunction that can be corrected or a natural limitation of this model? Would
appreciate your input.

my resident technicians there can assist
with this project.

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
that might.
