Car Alarms: alarm for a volvo, door key, overide

Hello:  I recently bought a used 1995 850 volvo. I want to know if there is a way to find out if the car has an alarm. When I lock the car there is a light that stays blinking. I think that is the alarm, the thing is i don't have any remote to activate it or disactivat it. I recently purchased a keyless remote, but that is only for the doors. How can I do it, can i buy it?? THANKS. LET ME KNOW

Ok, look at the past postings for "VALET/OVERIDE",
and keep the procedure handy.

Then close the door and get the blinking light to
to start. Using the door key, open it. The alarm
should trigger. If not, then I'd remove it
and start over. If it does, go into override mode
and then install the new keyless entry.
