Car Alarms: 1995 Geo Prizm with Python 1000HF alarm, 1995 geo prizm, geo prizm

I cannot get the alarm to disable.  I do not have a transmitter.  I located the valet switch and have followed the instructions in my manual to turn the key then push in the valet switch but it does not work.  I can't operate the vehicle to take it to someone to work on it so I'm stuck trying to resolve this myself.  Any ideas?
