Car Alarms: Toyota Alarm, toyota alarm, toyota carina

Question
I recently bought a 1995 Toyota Carina without the car alarm key fob, the owner told me the alarm was switched off and all has been well for one month. I have just changed the battery and the alarm has re-activated, how do I turn it off again ?.I have the little turn key that silences the horn but the immobiliser still works and the lights flash.

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
that might.
