Car Alarms: wiring door locks for a 1994 Chevy P/U, side kick panel, c locks

Question
My son purchased an remote start alarm for my 1994 Chevy Pickup that I am restoring. I still can't get the door locks to work. I located the Light Blue and the Black and Red wires in the driver side kick panel and connected them to the lock and unlock NO of the alarm, but, no go.
Can you help??
Thank you,
Carl

Answer
These are the lock/unlock wires:

POWER LOCK|lt. blue |*1 |
POWER UNLOCK|black/red  |*1 |
located in either harness in the
door jamb.

You will most likely need relays.

It's 5 wire reverse (type C) locks on the two door models,
and positive trigger (type A) locks on the four door
and keyless entry models.

See both of these relay applications at
www.relayhelp.com.

Have a good evening.
