Car Alarms: acura alaerm going off, acura dealership, alarmtek

QUESTION: I HAVE A 3.2TL ACURA AND THE ALARM KEEPS GOING OFF THE HORN SOUND FOR 15 TO 20 SEC THE LIGHT FLASH AND I CAN NOT STOP IT WITH THE REMOTE.I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP THANK YOU

ANSWER: I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.

QUESTION: i bought the car new and it came with the alarm installed.Ijust notice the horn honking and the headlights flashing.Iwas wondering if there is a fuse I could remaove.     THANKS CHRIS

No unfortunately not. This security system
depends on the physical locking and
unlocking of the drivers door to arm
and disarm it.

The way it's done to disarm is by remote,
but if that's not working right,
normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it.

Try that, and if no joy, contact the local
Acura dealership for an evaluation of this problem.
