Car Alarms: 1989 Toyota Truck, alarm features, best direction

I bought this truck with the alarm already installed, but for many months it did not work and I payed no attention until I installed a new battery.  It reactivated the alarm and has been giving me issues ever since.  I figured out how to use the remote for some time and did not have any problems.  Then I recently went outside as normal and the alarm is not acting right and the truck will not start.  What is the best direction I should take? Remove it or find manual from some place? Its a prestige brand alarm...

Please try to locate the valet switch
to overide the alarm.

If you would read some of the previous
posts I made on this subject, you will
see the procedure to toggle into and out
of valet/override mode. It allows
you to set and reset the starter kill mechanism
as well as all other standard alarm features.

This should also apply to yours.
