Car Alarms: Carbine Plus Car Alarm, valet mode, chrysler voyager

Question
I have a 2001 Chrysler Voyager and I had an alarm installed after market in October.  Now for some reason I can not unarm the alarm.  When I use the remote to unarm the alarm in chirps four times instead of the usual two.  When I put the key in the ignition it won't start.  I hade my cars electrical system checked a Straus and they said my alternator and all was fine.

What can I do?

Answer
From the sounds of this problem, it's not the
aftermarket alarm. It sounds more like the factory
transponder chip in the ignition key was wiped
cutting the fuel injection rail and an uncoded
attempted breach.

The short of it is, the "Chip"
in the key needs reprogramming at
Chrysler. This is very likely.
But just in case, if it's the Carbine,
it may need resetting at this point.
let's put it into valet/service mode.

Look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

This reset it and it should now be able
to be used normally.

Then run it over to where you
had it intalled if possible for
a going over. Might ask them to give you another
user manual too so you can look up service/valet
mode the net time. Helpfull info to have.

They may even be able to reset/reprog. the features on
the alarm you have, to allow you to use the system
more comfortably, but of course, you need
to start with visiting them.

Have a nice afternoon.
