Car Alarms: 1999 Toyota Corolla Theft Alarm problem, toyota corolla, battery connection

Question
My 1999 Toyota Corolla came with as far as I know a factory alarm, I bought it used and put in a new stereo. My battery died and I got someone to change it, after they took it out and tried to replace it with new one. The alarm went off, horn blowing-lights flashing. I read my manual and did what it said, with turning key and unlocking door,it will not stop completely and I want to know how I can disable it for good if possible or not have it go off at all when they touch the battery connection. Thank you so much!  H.M

Answer
Can't be disabled on this car without locking or
unlocking the doors. It's built into the
lock system. You'd need either to use the
key, turn left to disarm, right to unlock and
open or, add a keyless entry to the car to do it
remotely. Only ways that I know of on this one.

Good luck.
