Car Alarms: Car Alarm sensitivity, impact sensor, ford ranger

I have a factory installed car alarm, i seems like every time the wind blows, or for no reason the alarm goes off. I need to know how to change the sensitivity, I own a 97 Ford Ranger.

Not factory James.
Check under the dash for the after market alarm
and attatched shock impact sensor. (it will blink
when you tap on the car)  Once located,
turn down using the inset wheel, counter clockwise
or simply unplug it to resolve this.
