read you answer about ring around tumbler for Lincoln ls can you see this ring? i removed the woodgrain trim from around the wheel on 2000 Lincoln ls now when i put the key in and try to start it the light on the dash flashes quickly,but the car wont start.any ideas

The car is not seeing the correct transponder code if the theft light is flashing rapidly as you describe.  The best advice with a wrap around ring I can offer is to try and get the ring wrapped around the key cylinder as close to the outside of the ring as possible.

If you have 2 valid keys I would strongly recommend picking up a different bypass.  The PKF2 from bypasskit.com is awesome.  It programs like a third key to the vehicle, but it gets soldered to the data wires themselves.  This is the absolute most reliable way of bypassing a transponder and does not require losing a spare key.
