Car Alarms: Battery going dead after installation of autostart and alarm, gmc yukon, hack job

Question
I recently had a Compustar 2W900FMR installed in my 03 GMC YUKON. The installation was done very poorly by a very well known company. I knew the first day that I picked up my truck that it had many issues. As I drove down the road the alarm started chirping and the was a clicking in the dash. The doors were not unlocking all the time, the alarm would even go off right after I would take the key out and open the door (these are just examples, I noticed many other problems). I did not feel comfortable taking it back to the company that installed it due to the numerous things I had found not working correctly, the very first day. Day two I woke up to a dead battery. I had another company who I do know and trust go over it from front to back and they literally found about 20 things wrong with the installation. Including not even hooking up the starter kill!!! I thought I would be go to go after the second company fixed all the problems they had found. Now everything seems to be working with the alarm and autostart however my battery is still going dead. I have had the battery and alternator checked by three different people and they all agree there is nothing wrong with those parts!
The past few days I stopped using the alarm and only used the autostart... and the battery seemed to be doing okay. Now its dying again.....
Is it possible that a wire is still mixed up somewhere
and its draining the battery, or is it possible the alarm/autostart was bad out of the box... or did the hack job the first company did ended up ruining the unit???
Thanks so much for your help!!

Answer
Sorry that you've had a bad experience.
I do not know enough about the Yukon to advise
much on the Compustart application.
I can tell you that it sounds like a passlock II
issue. And starter kill on this truck is not advised
in any event because of the paaslock immobilizor
already in the ignition column. It not only would
have been redundent, but could have an adverse
effect on the truck. So on that score,
they did the right thing. But from you explaination,
they may have not had a clue on some other points.

However, from that point on, I want to hook you up
with the Pro on this subject. I always will
guide these kinds of troubled GM owner issues towards
the 12 volt forum, so you'll be in good hands there.

Please take this question to my
