Car Alarms: Viper 600HF Code Plus, power fuse, viper alarm

I recently bought a 97 f150 that has a viper 600 hf code plus installed in it.  The previous owner never had a remote for it, and took the power fuse out to disable the alarm.  I told him i was going to buy a new remote for it, to use it, and he stated that he went to a Viper alarm dealer, and they tried 6 different remotes with the system powered on, and couldn't get the system to read the remote.  First of all...any ideas on why he couldn't get the remotes to connect.  And could you please send me a copy of the manual for this alarm system.  I read one of your posts, and it said that you had that.  Thanks a million.
