Car Alarms: ultrastart remote starter, door switches, timer mode

Question
I am attempting to install an ultrastart 1250m starter in my 98 cavalier 5speed, which I purchased off of ebay from a car audio dealer. I purchased the starter along with a t harness and a passlock bypass module.  I have soldered the connections between the t harness and the starter brain.  I have connected the horn, parking lights, brake switch, parking brake, door switches, door lock actuators, tach wire, ground, bypass module and all the ignition wiring was completed with the tharness.  The keyless entry works fine, but when I try to get the car to go into reservation or timer mode nothing happens (either pressing the brake pedal twice or pressing the start button on the fob) When I press the start button after the car has stopped, the parking lights flash four times, indicating the car is not in reservation mode. Incidentally, a couple of days after I installed the unit my brake(!) and abs warnings lit up, and now the abs and cruise control do not work.
I would appreciate any suggestions you may have!
Thank You,
Eric Houle

Eric,
You need check your e-brake connection. If your abs light is on, your 2nd ignition isn't powered during auto start. This can be very bad on your transmission. Check to make sure it is hooked up,white wire. Make sure you have used your bypass as a passlock one. Check the tach programing, very important. No tach, no reservation mode. Check the connections to the brain of the 1250m, main harness first. Make sure you're getting power from the car itself through the t harness. T harness' should never be used, as  they are as reliable as a t-tap. I would cut that out and solder staight to the cars'  wiring. Make sure your door pins are right, there are two in that car, they need to be diode isolated for accurate triggering to the brain. For the abs and e brake light, you blew a fuse in the car from something not being hooked up right. Check all fuses in engine compartment and in driver door jam. Disconnect the ground to your unit before doing this. Hope this helps. Trouble shooting this problem will be stressful, just start from the car, get everything on the car to work correctly first, then get to the auto start.
Let me know.
