Car Alarms: 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX, mitsubishi eclipse gsx, security alarm system

We have 98 mitsubishi eclipse gsx. We recently had to install both door handles. My husband did this since the handles were $163 and the labor would have cost $240, $400 for labor & cost was too much! Anyway after the handles were installed everything worked just fine, until the next day. When you open either door or the back hatch the alarm goes off. This happens with keyless entry or by using the key itself. Even when the alarm goes off you can open the door, start the car, drive etc... Is there anything we can do? O'yeah
this is a factory installed security alarm system.            TKS

Odd. I need to verify a couple of things though.
When you say "factory alarm", please describe the sound
and tell me which lights flash. The headlights or,
the parking lights? Also is there an LED (flashing light)
in the dash area?

Let me know. Also, please describe the remotes,
and if there is an FCC ID # on the back of it,
tell me that as well.
