ok im in the market for a car alarm. i have an immobilizer but thats not enough. Im going to install stereo equipment and i want to make sure that its well protected. Im looking for an alarm under 300$ canadian thats got a back up power source and pager if possible. can you recommend any thing ?

Well, you did not say you wanted a remote starter so that's cool. I have the ASTRA 777 unit with paging/car alarm/keyless entry and 2 stage shock sensor. It
also has a free starter kill relay with it. You can
add a backup battery system for an additional 20.00 (US)
and also you might want a 2 stage motion sensor.
(Great for "snatch n grab! $36.00)
so it would run 119.95 (US) + 36.00.
