Car Stereos: 2004 Buick Lesabre / No Sound, aftermarket radio, buick lesabre

Aftermarket Radio Installation. I hooked up everything right, all grounds, hot wires, speaker wires, 12v+ and 12v-, turned the radio on and i get no sound, but the radio is playing. when i plug the factory radio back in everything works fine, is there some kind of alarm thats in the harness that doesnt allow an aftermarket radio to work, is there a way to bypass it?

Hi Aaron,

There is nothing special you need to do to make that deck work -- the '04 Lesabre doesn't usually have an accessory wire in the dash, so you have to get it from somewhere else and/or use the data bus adapter.

That said, the speakers are nothing different and should just work.

As long as you used a harness to do the install, you should just have to match up like wires.
