Car Stereos: subwoofers, amplifier output, two subs

Question
just want 2 ask if its possible to use two subs with different watts together

Answer
Hi Charlie,

You can do this, but it's not recommended unless you're using a 2-channel amplifier (or unless each subwoofer is used with a separate amplifier).  The problem with connecting two subs to the same amplifier output channel is that you can't independently adjust the power going to each sub; so you might be under-powering one sub and over-powering the other at the same time.  If you can independently adjust the amplifier channel for each sub, though, then there's no problem using them together.

Hope this helps!
