Question
hi justin my names chaz and i have purchased a 2 12 subwoofer speaker, a 800watt amp and a 1000watt amp. my car is a bmw compact 02plate. what wiring kit do i need for these amps? and if theirs anything else i need please let me know. thanks

Answer
Hi Chaz,

You'll need:

Enough speaker wire to run from the amps to the subs, plus enough wire to run from the amps to the speakers in the car if you want to run them.

As many RCA wires as your deck supports and/or you have speakers.  If your deck doesn't have pre-outs, you'll need to also get a high-level output converter.

You'll need some good 4/0 gauge wire to run to the amps, a splitter block and then some 6/8 gauge to run to each amp independently.  Then, some 4/6 gauge wire for ground from each amp to the chassis (< 18" each.)

You'll need some terminal connectors to connect to the battery and chassis.

You'll need an inline fuse to put on the 4 gauge under the hood.

That's what immediately comes to mind. :)
