Car Stereos: Car wont start after I tried to change out radio..., saturn sl 2, saturn sl

Question
I have a 1998 Saturn sl 2 I Know I was dumb in trying to change the radio out myself but I have done it alot of times on older cars. I disconnected all the wires and tried to put the new radio in which has a cd player and now the car won't start it doesn't even click like its trying to turn over. The lights on power windows work but the car won't start anyone know how I can get the car to start? I am stuck and this is my only car!!!!! HELP !!!!!!

Thanks Julie

Answer
Julie,

There aren't any wires in the factory radio harness that should be able to prevent the vehicle from starting, so I'm betting that you just have a dead battery.  This can happen quickly if you had the door opened during the time you were working on the radio.  Chances are the car will start once the battery is charged.

If that doesn't solve the problem, I'd check the vehicle's fuses, particularly the fuse box under the hood.

Hope this helps!
