Car Stereos: new audio help, gmc envoy, white stripe

I've just put an alpine 9886 in my 2003 gmc envoy slt, the installer from best buy hook it up to a Scosche GM2000. I tried hooking up an amp to the alipine remote but it wont turn on. Im woundering if i have to hook it up the the scosch remote wire, and which one or color is it? thank you.

To install an amp, you'll need to run a power wire from the battery to the amplifier, a ground wire from the amp to the chassis, and the remote wire from the Alpine deck to the remote power lead on the amplifier.  It will almost certainly be blue or blue with a white stripe.
