Car Stereos: 2002 Saturn SL1 stereo problem, 2002 saturn sl1, fuse boxes

I just bought a JVC KD-G340 for my 2002 Saturn SL1 and I bought the wire harness that fits my car but when I hook it up it does not turn on at all.  I checked the wires and the they seem to be right but no power is connected at all.  There are no fuses blown either. Please help and Thanks!

Hi Brett,

Get a multimeter (or even a test light), and connect ground (black) to the 12V constant (yellow), and ensure you're getting power, and then connect ground to the 12V accessory (red), and ensure you're getting power when the car is on.  If you are, then check the deck itself for its own fuses.  If you aren't, check your connections, and recheck fuses.  Some vehicles have extra fuse boxes under the hood as well as near the driver.
