QuestionBasically, how would I hook up the amp? I removed the control unit in the dash, then found out that the actual radio is in the trunk, under the carpet. Do I have to splice the wires into the radio in the back or the control unit in the front?
I'm trying to hook up a Visonik V218XT with speaker level inputs. I'm also adding a subwoofer to the system if that makes any difference.
With a system like this, where would the remote turn on lead plug in?
And is there a convenient hole in the fire wall to run the power cable to the battery?

i always get them from the trunk harness and i always get the remote wire from the fuse box im not real sure where the 05 models have clearance to drill the hole on the firewall just look for a spot where you have enough room near the battery just make sure you don't hit any wires or hoses in the process have some one stand near the engine compartment inspecting your drilling just in case,
oh yeah grab the signal from the back speakers, sometimes they are crossed over to low signal and you'll get a better sounding bass.
