Auto Racing: carb., forearm muscles, 650 holley

hello, i have a 83 s-10 wqith a 400 sb chevy that i drag race with elec.fuel pump &a 650 holley carb but it is bogging off the line. do i need a bigger carb? maybe a 750 double pumper?

I am involved in sports car road racing, basically funny little "furrin" cars with fairly small displacements.  That and I won my last drag race by watching the flagman's forearm muscles (about 1964).

The short answer is I don't really know, but the guy that should know is Randy Cooper, e-mail him at: <<coopster62@cehighperformance.com>>  He is a pro engine builder that does a lot of drag motors.

Also you can try the tech line at Summit Racing <<www.summitracing.com >>  They are very helpful and their guys know their stuff - - - and I pick their brains regularly.
