BMW Repair: 2002 BMW E46 M3 STARTING PROBLEM, bmw e46 m3, bmw 2002

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY BMW 2002 E46 M3. IT STARTED AS AN ITERMITANT FAULT BUT IS NOW PERMINANT.
WHEN I GO TO START MY CAR I TURN THE KEY DISPLAY LIGHTS COME ON BUT THE ENGINE WONT TURN OVER.
I,VE CHECKED THE BATTERY ITS OK.I,VE TRYED MY SPARE KEY AND ITS JUST THE SAME.
EVERYTHING ELSE WORKSFINE,ALARM,CENTRAL LOCKING,LIGHTS,RADIO.
BUT CAR JUST WON'T TURN OVER...........
CAN YOU GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON THIS PROBLEM AND WHAT THINGS I COULD CHECK ........

Is the battery fully charged, and sound?  An undercharged battery, or one with a bad cell, will still work the other items.

If it is good, then the starting system should be checked.  Does the starter engage at all?  Or no sound at all?  If nothing, check for power at the starter.
