BMW Repair: BMW blow motor, dashboard area, dash board

I drive '95 318ti. The blow motor made some strange noises and now completely stoped.Can I access it by just removing the glove compartment and not the whole dash board?Also is the resistor attached to the blow motor, or it is located somewhere else under the dash board?

Wrong, and that's good news!

The blower motor on the e36's is accessed by going in from the engine side.  Open the hood, and remove the air intake by the base of the windshield.  You'll need to remove the wire harness channel,and other pieces around it.  Trust me, easier than going through the dashboard area.

The resistor is attached to the drivers side of the motor housing ON THE INSIDE of the car.  Remove the panel below the dash.  The resistor is clipped into an opening in the housing.
