BMW Repair: 2001 bmw 325I, cam sensor, bmw 325i

Question
Just recently when Im driving my check engine lite comes on and when it does the car runs really ruff. Almost feels as if its not getting enough gas maybe. And sounds like its almost chugging along. I will stop and turn the car off and the lite will go out and it drives perfectly fine again. It may do this every few days or and then nothing for awhile.  Do you have and ideas of what it might be?

with out knowing why the check engine light is coming on its hard to say,my  best guess would be that you have a bad intake or exhaust cam sensor. allso i see misfire faults cause the same symptoms, the misfire will be due to a cracked spark plug,spark plug boot or coil.
