BMW Repair: 1997 528i, break pads, new sensor

Question
My check break linings light came on a week or so ago.  I asume that means I need to change my break pads.  This is my first BMW is it difficult to do with the sensors on the car.

you need pads and a new sensor on the front or rear. also you will need new rotors which are usually under min thickness before the pads are down to the sensor. if you can do brakes you can do these. you will need a 7mm allen for the calipers and a 16mm(rear),18mm(fr) socket for the hangers. when done when done leave the ignition on, engine off for one minute until the light goes out.
