BMW Repair: will not start, system diagnosis, cam sensor

the vehicle i bought is a 1994 318i the car will start right up with starting fluid then dies. i replaced the fuel filter the car is getting gas to the fuel rail i dont know if it is the injectors or maybe something electrical if you have any sugestions i would appreciate it thank you

Dustin, I don't really have any more suggestions other than more fuel system diagnosis. Check that there is electrical pulse at the fuel injectors. If there is no pulse then you have to figure out why the DME is not releasing the fuel injectors. Usually a faulty input signal to the DME. Cranksensor, cam-sensor, etc.
