BMW Repair: 1998 528i rear window regulator replacement, bottom window, window glass

Hello Even,

Can you provide instructions on how to remove/replace the right rear (passenger side) window regulator in a 1998 528i?

It appears that the glass needs to be removed in order to get access to the bolts at the top of
the regulator.  

I already have the replacement part.

Dan, Do you already have the panel off? Yes you have to remove the window glass. Do you have a roller sun blind? Remove the bottom window guide. Roll the window down (cut cables if you have to) Carefully pull the sides of the rubber window guides up out of the track. Detatch window from regulator and carefully remove glass. Then you can access the upper bolt. Let me know if you need more info.
