BMW Repair: outside temperature readout, bmw 318is, temperature readout

The outside temperature readout is "stuck" on -35 F.  I changed the computer and the fuses and the reading does not change.  My auto is a 93 BMW 318is.  Any thoughts, help?  Thanks.  Ed

did you recently hit something in the front lower area of the car? the outside temp sensor is down low in the bumper right around the foglight area. many times people hit the parking blocks in parking lots and rip out the sensor. look under the front of the car and see if any wires are hanging.
