BMW Repair: fuel injection, warning lights, fuel pressure

1990 325i (E30) after warming up the idle doesn't remain constant, fluctuating up and down. On occassion (more frequently now), when the gas pedal is depressed the engine stops running.

Are there any warning lights on the dash? It could be in the fuel system(inadequate fuel pressure or restriction), or it could be and ignition component that is failing when it gets hot. It should be checked by a profesional and then if you choose to do it yourself, I can try to help you
