GMC Repair: Turn signal, left turn signal, gmc jimmy

I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy.  The left turn signal will not blink.  It comes on once and all the bulbs, front and rear light, then goes out.  I hear the clicking sound from the switch, but the lights don't come on.  i have checked the fuse under the hood and all light bulbs seem to be good, I switched for the right side bulbs.  THe right side does work fine.  This just started out of nowhere.  Thanks for your advice.

the first thing I will ask you to do is check the rear wiring is it touching metal and making a short. Cjheck that first Miles I know it sounds stupid but I have many that the wire is pinched when light goes back in.  Good luck Miles if you need anything just let me know. collisionrepairadvice.com
