GMC Repair: 1988 gmc blazer, gmc blazer, financial restraints

Question
hello peter i hope you dont mind my auto ignorance. i have a 1988 gmc blazer and it sat outside over the winter.this month i tryed to start the motor and the motor was turning over and it seemed the engine wasnt getting fuel.i tried to prime the engine by putting fuel in the carburator but still no fuel from pump. my question is do you suspect the fuel pump. and if so how could i proof out the fuel pump and is there a way to repair it?

             thanking you in advance peter.
