Alfa Romeo Repair: clutch transmission issue, shifting gears, driving wheels

Question
I took my 86 spider out of winter storage the other day.
Today I started to run into problems shifting gears with grinding into any gear.  Does this sound like a fluid issue and if so what is the proper fluid to use?

Answer
If everything was ok before storage then corrosion is the problem. Get the vehicle off the ground, drain the transmission and refill with ATF and ( with driving wheels off the ground) start the engine and drive through the gears. It can take a half hour for the fluid to get into the gear bushings and get rid of the corrosion.  Then drain and refill with synthetic Redline manual transmission oil or the equivalent (75w-90) with a rating of GL-4 or better. If some of the ATF remains it is not a problem (many manufacturer {M-B is one} specify ATF for manual transmissions).

It just occured to me. If it grinds into low gear at a stop then you need to bleed the clutch hydraulic system.
