Alfa Romeo Repair: clutch, clutch assembly, clutch pedal

Question
I have an Alfa Romeo '89 Spider.  When I start moving in first gear, the clutch seems to disengage and the car jerks.  If I more carefully release the clutch pedal, I can prevent this.  Do I need a new clutch assembly? or can I get away with some sort of adjustment?  I truly appreciate your service, I've used it before and it's great!!!  Thank you in advance.

Answer
A "grabby" clutch is usually caused by oil, either from the rear main seal of the engine or the input seal of the transmission.  The cure is to replace the bad seal and clean the flywheel and replace the disc. Or be careful with the pedal action.

However, I may be misinterpreting your discription.  Try flushing/bleeding the clutch hydraulic system. And use Castrol LMA brake fluid please.
