Question
i bought a used 1992 ford explorer and the radio didnt work. all the button feel reel loose and like they dont do a thing. the radio turns on but just pops a little in the speakers. there was a mouse problem i was wondering could thewy have chewn through the wire harness or is the radio just junk. i also dont no how to take the radio out. so if you could help me it would be great.

Answer
Take the radio out and do a full inspection of the wiring.

A "U" shaped tool is used to remove the radio. You can get one most anywhere car audio products are sold (Wal-Mart). It is a bit of a pain to do sometimes.

Be sure to NOT cut any wires. Go here http://www.metraonlone.com to get an adapter harness that will wire up to the new radio's wire harness. Then you you just plug this new harness intop the truck and new radio and you're done.
