Audio Systems: Alpine car stereo, alpine car stereo, alpine system

Question
I have a 2001 Lincoln Continental with an Alpine system. I never had the manual that is supposed to come with it - so I don't know the model number.
The stereo has performed flawlessly for 6 years, until I took it in to a mechanic to have the brakes looked at. The next morning I turned on the radio - and reverb city!!! Sounds like everyone's in a cave - heavy reverb!!! Same with CD's, - I can't even listen to them - too much reverb. Spent most of my driving time pushing buttons to return it to normal, but have been unsuccessful, and since I don't have the manual, don't know what to do. Any ideas as to a setting or a button I can push, etc? Thank you, Jim

Answer
press the DSP button  and then the forward button all seats on or off you will have a few options  after you press the DSP button if not use the MENU button  if you don't have them or there is no audio function the radio is defective
