Audio Systems: Jaguar CD player cable to radio, alpine series, jaguar cd

Question
I want to make up a connector cable from the CD player in the trunk to the radio in the dash. I have found out the plug is called a 8 pin DIN and I note that one pin is offset to the circle of the other 7 pins. Where can I buy such a Din plug/socket and the cable to match??  Vehicle is 1994 Jaguar XJ6-3.2S. Radio and CD player is original and is manufactured by Alpine Series AJ9200R

Thanks.
Tom.

Answer
DIN connectors are standard in European products. You can purchase from various parts suppliers if you just want to obtain the parts and make your own cable connector.

The above is a UK supplier for Jaguar  connections.

Also, you should go to www.crutchfield.com and see if they don't have a cable harness for your car.  I did not find it on their web site, but if you call their 800 number and speak with a specialist there is a good chance they will have what you need.
