Audio Systems: pretty big problem, bass reproduction, amp power

Question
ok so i have a 2001 jetta i used to have a dual cd player in it and could listen to any song with my base up way high on my subs with no distortion to a point obviously but i recently got a new cd player which can control high pass of like tribal and what not but i think it interferes with the stock amp and now i cant really even use my subs because if i turn my amp that is stickily for my subs it will make the tweeters shit the bed literally like when the sub hits they just scratch but when i turn my subs off on my cd player it plays the song at a high volume the same as my old cd player with no distortion but if i turn my subs back on it goes right back to killing the tweeters and i changed the high pass to only let hider frequence go through however i don't think its high enough for my tweeters and also does turning on the suborders increase the bass signal to all speakers cause then it would prove my theory i have now correct

Answer
Not sure I understand what the question is.

ONE: If you have a new cd player which just happens to have a much higher output than the previous one you will need to adjust the volume control accordingly.

TWO: If the bass filter on the outputs is too high in frequency, turn it down.  Subwoofers for bass reproduction should be set for 100Hz or less, usually.

THREE:  If the sub amp power is getting into the tweeters you have a wiring problem.  (Are you sure you have separate amps for the bass?

FOUR:  If you put the old cd player back in does it behave as it did before?  That will be a test to reveal if you have changed some of the basic wiring.

Look, if you write back for further comment, please give me the make and model of everything in your vehicle.  That way I can know what is going on equipment wise.  Otherwise, I have to do alot of guessing!

Thanks for your help,
