Audio Systems: Replacing a 1999 Eclipse Spyder stereo w/ stock amp, mitsubishi spyder, eclipse spyder

Hi, I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Spyder and I'd like to replace the stock reciever but keep the stock amp (under pass. seat). Can I use a standard wiring adapter, because thats what it looks like but I don't want to get distortion from amplifing an already amplified signal. You know what I mean? I'll wait for an answer before tearing into it. Thanks...Jeff

Yes you can, Mits are pretty rare up here, so I can't give you specifics. You can use the normal adaptor harness on most brands, but you may need a level converter. Check with companies like Scosche, Metra, PIE, Peripheral, etc..
They can recommend the exact unit you need.
