Audio Systems: My in dash dvd/cdplay works off and on, laser diode, indash tv

Question
i have a tview indash tv/dvd player its about 7 years old i got it from my brother. i installed it in my 2005 montecarlo it was working from march the 7th to april the 15th. now it comes on then i push the button for the screen to come out and it works just fine but the wen i get out turn the car off and get back in and turn the car on the power comes on and only the bottom part lights up and none of the buttons work the radio wont come on and it wont accept cds but then if i let it sit for about 4 hours it comes on again like nothing happen but then wen i get out of the car the nerve racking process begins again......here are previous incidents that happend before this problem came about. 1st. my fuse in my power line to my amp blew. 2. i hooked up a different amp i had and i noticed that the amp stayed on even wen the car was off and i had everything hook up right. 3.then i noticed that wen i turned my car off and got out after my music was playing my door always shocked me. 4. then i unhooked my amp and i hooked it back up again and then only way it would come on is if i had part of my power wire touhing my remote wires (i have a crossover hook up as well) then that hook up worked for 3 days and then my screen started acting weird. wat do u suggest that i do??

Answer
I could not follow exactly what is going on, but:

ONE: The system is old and it may have any number of malfunctions lurking. One of the most common is a weak laser diode inside the optical pickup.

TWO:  The wiring in your system seems to be corrupted. The various incedants don't add up to proper wiring. For an amp that stays on when the car is off is clearly a wiring problem.

THREE:  There are so many components in your car I cannot give you any suggestion other than to go back through the system and check out all the wiring one by one and test for shorts and other problem areas.  You may have to disconnect the eq or other devices until you can narrow down the problem.

Hope this helps.
