Audio Systems: 1997 ford explorer deak instillation, ford wiring, dual deck

hi my explorer will not wire up to my new dual deck i bought the connecters but theres more wires in the truck than in the connecters and no sound will play

You must check the wiring out completely;  Know the wiring plan for the receivers 12v lines and outputs; then double check the wiring of the vehicle with a meter so you know for certain where is set of speaker wires is; label them and be sure.  Sometimes even the color codes are wrong.
