Please provide make and model numbers and I'd be happy to help. and you say "a 2 4 ohm 1800 watt subwoofers.... ?"

is it 1 subwoofer or 2 subwoofers?

its A APower Acoustik Amp Model A2400db. The amp has 2400 watts and A Power Acoustik Subwoofer Series(Model) Fubar-12W. These subwoofer are 1800 watts A piece.. And yes its 2 Subwoofer. What i Mean by the 4 Ohms.. There have 4 Ohm Dual Vioce coils.. Is my amp too powerful for my Subs

Answer -
Actually I've used the combination of this same amp with the FUBR-12s but not with the FUBAR-12 (why the company would name their products with such similar names is beyond me) with great success.  the amp is rated for 1400RMS at 2 ohms and the 2 FUBAR-12s are rated for 800RMS each which will be fine as long as you dont skimp on the power wires to that amp!!!  If the amp starts to clip those subs are toast so listen for distortion when you crank it, if you hear any distortion turn it down imediatly.  The FUBARs problem is going to be that they dont have as good Xmax as the fubrs do so you may want to consider a deeply tuned ported box with a carefully placed subsonic filter.  if you do it right you should get serious sound out of this combination! I highly recomend power acoustik stuff for bang for the buck jobs. I've used the Fubrs in 1.1 cubic foot sealed boxes and I've also used them in 2.75 cubic foot ported boxes tuned to 30 hz.  the ported box at 30hz is AMAZING!!!!  the sealed wasnt bad either.  these subs get a bad rap from people that have no idea what they're doing and put them in bandpass boxes or simply think they're crap cuz they're inexpensive.  truth is, yes there's better stuff on the market but you'll pay twice as much for it before you match the quality of these.
Power acoustik recomends porting the box at 40hz which I think is absurd!  at 40 hz there's plenty of stroke to make tons of noise.  you know what?  Please send me a reply with your email address and I'll do some computer models for you on how they will sound, I'm interested to see how this will play out and want to get it right for you.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Wow thanx... My email is Mr.baseball_24@yahoo.com...Im also thinkin about gettin the Power Acoustik MOFO Model.. There 2400 watts a piece.... Would the same amp also be ok to use with these subs...? ok yea plz send me the computer models... that would be great... Im gonna take my system to audio source so they can hook it up..so hopefull they do my wiring right...thanx

Answer
ok, when I do the models I'll use your email address.  as for the mofos  THEY ARE PRETTY SICK!!! I own 2 of the 15"s, I have one of them in my VW jetta and 1 in my home theater.  I actually would sugest 2 of the A2400DBs (one for each sub) and run the amps at 4 ohm load each. that would give a rated 1100 RMS to each sub if you're running the mofo 12s and maybe even 2 of the A3000Dbs if you're running 2 15s.  reason being is that at a 4 ohm load the amp will be much cleaner and run much cooler and since the mofo is definatly going to be in a ported box the ohms will be lowwer at lowwer frequencies which will put more demand on the amp. you could use one but if you're goign to go all out you might as well do it right.
Keep in mind the Mofo's require pretty big boxes so you will have very little trunk space left unless you are tearing out your rear seats which is what I did in my benz.
So you dont have any drive to do this yourself huh?  I can save you alot of money if you want to try.  I've coached many through it.  Actually the box building is the most critical part.  As long as you have a good table saw and some woodworking knowledge you should be fine with some guidance. As for the wiring, as long as you have someone plan it out right (me) and if you can pull wire through holes and you connect the right wire to the right place you should be fine!!
I'll try to work on that modeling later tonight.  What kindof car do you have? (year, make model please)
