Audio Systems: Wiring help, 4 ohms, ohm load

Question
I have one Pioneer Premier TS-W3004SPL sub. it is 4ohm DVC. i want to get another of the same sub. i have a Kicker ZX1000.1. it is 2ohm stable. I am not sure on how to wire the subs to get a 2ohm independance.

Answer
Sorry it took me a while to get back to you.
from the specs I see online, unfortunatly you cant get 2 ohms out of 2 of these speakers.  they have 2 coils each at 4 ohms  so if you get 2 of them you'll have 4 coils that are 4 ohms each.  if you run them all in parallel you get:
4 ohms DIVIDED by 4 coils = 1 ohm

if you run all in series you get:
4 ohms TIMES 4 coils = 16 ohms

if you mix and match parallel and series you will get a 4 ohm load which this amp only puts out 500 watts at 4 ohms so each speaker would only get 250 watts.  your best bet if you want to get another sub is to get another one of these amps as well, or get 1 new amp to run both of them that's designed to put out the wattage these can take at 1 or 4 ohms.

Good luck and please let me know how it goes!
