Audio Systems: Car Stereo, loose wires, best bet

I have a Clarion XD516 stereo installed in my '96 Camry. It has a flip down face, and when I try to flip the face down and take the CD out, the system loses power, and it will not eject the CD. I'm assuming there is some loose wiring somewhere, but I don't know much about this stuff so I thought maybe you had heard of this and there was a quick and easy fix, even for the layman that I am.

 loose wires wouldnt cause that, it sounds like the unit itself is failing somewhere internally ... your best bet aside from replacing the unit right off is to give clarion a call talk to one of their tech advisors and describe the problem he can tell you if it can be repaired of if its plain shot and to toss it ... hope this helps you out
