Audio Systems: Auto CD Player, auto cd player, acura dealer

I have a 6 disc factory installed changer mounted in the trunk of my '92 Acura Legend.  I get the code E-01, Disc Changer malfunction and it suggest that I consult with the Acura dealer.  Any thoughts on how I can fix the CD changer?  Any suggestion will be helpful.   Thanks

If you are mechanically inclined you could try disassembling the CD changer and do a manual cleaning on the lens of the laser pick up. In most cases the error code E01 is a fault code that comes up when the laser cannot see the disc.
