Question - Any idea how easy a new bulb is to find? Radio Shack or Digi-Key?

Tom - I've looked through several other related posts.  My wife's 1997 TransSport has an AM/FM/CD with a red LED display.  Intermittently, the display would blank out.  My wife noticed that if she bumped the dash, the display would work.  However, now it is dead, no amount of banging will help.  I noticed that the display is showing the correct value.  If the sun hits it the right way or you shine a flashlight on the display, you can read it.  Everything else works OK.  Is there a replaceable bulb?

Thanks in advance!
Answer -
Bob,
Most likely the lamp that back lights the display has burned out. Hitting the dash may have made the connection in the lamp work again for a short period of time until it completely burned out. The lamp is soldered in place and this requires that you completely disassemble the front panel to replace the burned out lamp/s.

Answer
Bob,
Either one of the suppliers mentioned should have the 12 volt mini lamps. You may want to remove one of the lamps to compare for the correct size. a 12 volt 85ma lamp of the same size should do the trick.
