Audio Systems: Loss of sound from speakers, fuse block, dodge shadow

Question
I recently purchased a CD player for my 1993 Dodge Shadow, and installed it myself.  Basically, I installed it, then tested it out, everything worked fine.  Didn't move or touch anything after that.  About an hour later I was about to go for a drive, and the head unit powered up, even read data from the CD and started playing the tracks, but NO sound whatsoever came from the speakers. Seeing as I didn't touch anything after the first intial power up, I don't see what could have gone wrong.

Answer
Qual,

go back over your wiring, i hope you used a wire harness adapter so this part will be must easier for you , but if you didnt you can double check your splices with the color code on www.streetdreams.com/wires... now after you go over your wiring and are sure it is correct double check all of your splices and i recommend soldiering if you used a wire adapter .. make sure they are connected tightly and wrapped good with electric tape on each connection .. then go to your fuse block and pull each and every fuse out one at a time .. PULL all fuses not just the radio related ones and check for blows .. also check the fuse in the back of your unit for blows .. now hopefully in there will be the cure .. but if not it would seem to be a head unit problem so i would take it back and swap for a new one ... hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know

thanks
